A Court Advocate is a trained community volunteer, appointed by a district judge, to represent children in court. The Honorary Board are individuals in the community who lend their support in unique ways as needed.

All people who volunteer for CASA must first complete three things: (1) an application (either Child Advocate Application or Board of Directors/Advisory Council Application), (2) a criminal background check, and (3) a child abuse background check. All forms are available in PDF format.

The purpose of CASA of Denton County, Inc. is to train community volunteers to provide court advocacy for children who have been removed from their homes by Child Protective Services (CPS) due to abuse and neglect.
